Privacy Policy

• Account details: your name and email address, and a password if you sign up by email. If you use “Sign in with Google”, Google shares your name, email address, and profile picture with us.
• Profile and contact details: phone number and postal code, which we need before you can send a best-price request.
• Request details: the vehicle, trim, and options you choose, plus payment preferences (cash, finance, or lease, term, down payment) and any trade-in information you provide.
• Messages and offers: messages you exchange with dealers and the offers they send you through CarFaster.
• Payment records: if you buy Best Price, Stripe processes your payment. We receive a confirmation and limited details such as your email and the payment status. We never see or store your full card number.
• Usage information: basic analytics about how pages are used, and technical data such as browser type. We also use cookies to keep you signed in.

• To run your account and show you comparisons, estimates, and saved requests.
• To send your best-price request to matched dealers. We use your postal code to find nearby dealers who carry the brand you chose.
• To send you service emails, such as email verification, password resets, and notices that a dealer has responded. These emails contain a link back to CarFaster, not your offer details.
• To process Best Price payments and keep a record of them.
• To prevent abuse (for example, one free request per person), and to keep the service secure.
• To understand and improve the service.

When you send a best-price request, we share your request and contact details with the dealers it is matched to, up to five nearby dealers that carry that brand. This includes your name, email address, phone number, postal code, the vehicle and options you chose, your payment preferences, and any trade-in details. Dealers use this information to prepare an offer and contact you about it.

Each dealer handles your information under its own privacy practices once it receives it. We ask for your consent each time you send a request, and we never share your details with a dealer unless you send one.

We use trusted providers to run CarFaster. They may only use your information to provide their service to us:

• Convex: database and application hosting.
• Stripe: payment processing.
• Resend: sending notification and account emails.
• Google: optional sign-in.
• Vercel: website hosting and basic analytics.
• OpenStreetMap Nominatim: turns postal codes into approximate locations so we can find nearby dealers. Only the postal code is sent.

Some of these providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. While it is there, it may be subject to the laws of that country.

By creating an account and sending a request, you consent to the uses described here. You can withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual limits, by contacting us. If you withdraw consent, we may not be able to send further requests for you. Withdrawing consent does not recall information already shared with a dealer, but we will tell you which dealers received it so you can contact them.

We keep your information until you ask us to delete it. You can ask us at any time to give you access to, correct, or delete your personal information by emailing noahk2010@gmail.com. When we delete your account, we may keep limited records where the law requires it (for example, payment records for tax purposes). Information already shared with a dealer is held by that dealer under its own privacy practices.

We protect your information with reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections, access controls, and limiting staff access. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have your account deleted. Email us at noahk2010@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days, as required by PIPEDA and BC PIPA. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.

CarFaster is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 19.
